The fans were out of control! Never before had ELTD had such bare-skinned, button jiggling, electric frolicking audience!

Indeed, if you thought the band wasn't worth watching, you had the crowd to keep you entertained.
Despite the fact that some of the fans were very sparsely dressed, they were all respectful of eachother, and very well behaved. Well, all except for one...Mr. Watermelon!

The Phi Si fraternaty chose 6 bands to participate in the battle - based on tapes submitted by each band. ELTD made their tape on the very first day they had ever practiced together. A "Big Hunk" candy bar, some beef jerky and a donut accompanied their submission.

4 weeks later, when Battletime came, Zues was at the helm driving a rock-crushing beat of intense musical thunder, SZQ set the stage on fire with her lightning 16th notes of power, and Red rocketed to the stage on her unicycle while heralding the band's entrance with her trumpet. Also to join the stage was guest fan, Mr. Watermelon.

Don't let the picture of this post-set on-stage orgee give you the wrong impression of Stanford students! Believe me, this is certainly not a common occuracne in the lounge of most University Dorms.

Nevertheless, thank you, Toyon, for housing this special event, and of course, thank you to the men in red shirts for hosting, supplying beverages, and helping to clean up Mr. Watermelon.
